Side Street Wines offers fresh, exciting, and vibrant wines on tap and by the bottle. We produce wines from the forgotten vineyards around Ojai. Similar to the Ojai Valley Brewery, where we craft our wines, we aim to showcase Ojai's unique seasons and terroir, month by month, rather than year by year. We use a combination of wine making and brewing techniques, revitalized vineyards, and ancestral techniques to bring you limited releases of small batch wines that are easy drinking and approachable. These wines reflect our commitment to preserving tradition, but also a love letter to the Central California region we love.
Fabien Castel has been making wine for over 20 years in the Ojai Valley at the Ojai Vineyard. In January 2023 he decided to make a change and leave the Ojai Vineyard for whatever the world might have in store for him. The stars aligned that January, Elizabeth and Fabien happened to be chatting and the idea of an alternative winery built within a brewery was formed and Side Street Wine was born.
